At Welcoming Women, we rely on fee payment by members and casual participants to cover our costs for room hire, refreshments, materials for activities, insurance, printing, website maintenance and other administration costs.
When a woman makes a booking, a place is now taken up at the exclusion of all others. So even if the participant does not attend, no one else can take their place. Therefore, we are unable to offer refunds on paid fees if a participant is no longer able to attend, as those fees have already been used in covering costs and cannot be recovered.
Under exceptional circumstances, Welcoming Women may be open to review an application for a refund. An example of such a circumstance could be if a member who has paid full membership then unexpectedly has to move away from the area or becomes ill with a condition that will prevent further attendance.
We reserve the right to review and refuse or accept refund applications on a case-by-case basis.
